And Pasty's Australian Zouk Tour - SAT 31st JULY!

Well ok, we actually turned 4 back in April, but things have been so busy lately, this will be now be the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate cracking the big FOUR!

Salsa Connection has had a wonderful 4 years and has grown from strength to strength along the way. It is with the help of not only our wonderful team of instructors and support staff, but more importantly, YOU, the students and members of Salsa Connection, that has made us one of Adelaide's most successful Salsa & Latin dance studios. SCDS, our teachers, our performers, and our students are now well known not just around Australia, but internationally as well!

When Kevin & Chelsea began Salsa Connection on 24th April 2006, they had no idea that this wonderful industry would give them the ability to bring dance to so many people's lives. Of course, none of this would have been possible without you, who make Salsa Connection what it is - a happy, fun, smiling, very social dance studio with many great personalities and fabulous dancers!

So we figure it's time to celebrate the wonderful time we've had so far with Salsa Connection, whilst looking forward to another awesome year with you - our students, friends and family. So, come Saturday 31st July - WE ARE GOING TO PAAAARTY! Performances, Dancing, Prizes, Demos, even a introductory Zouk Workshop at 8pm... and there may even be a cake and a few surprises too!!

To help us celebrate this milestone, we are pleased to present the
Zouk Master, Pasty, from Holland.

The party will be HUGE on the Saturday night
followed by Workshops with Pasty on the Sunday...

Background on Pasty: Currently Pasty teaches and performs under his own name Pasty Dance and in the larger dance schools in the Netherlands, where Pasty is a famous face both in the Salsa and Zouk scene. He is a highly requested dancer and teacher giving classes and performances all across the country and abroad.International performances have brought him all across the globe, participating at congresses in Australia, Suriname, Curaçao, the UK, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Mallorca, and more to come.

National performances include all major Salsa and Zouk events in the Netherlands, such as the Brazilian Dance Congress and Dance Competition in 2005 and 2008.

Workshops:
11.00 - 12.00 - Out of the Box Thinking
(Pasty will show you how to think outside the “normal” realms of lead and follow,
along with alternative methods of moving through your basic steps and moves)
12.15 - 1.15 - Ragdolls and Cambres
(Learn to dip and sway your partner properly and smoothly,
plus learn to turn, sway and move your partner like a “ragdoll”)
1.15 - 1.45 - Well Deserved Lunch Break
(Nom Nom Nom – Lunch!)
1.45 - 2.45 – Musicality
(Pasty teaches you how to “hear” the music and move to it. Not just to a beat,
but to the song/music itself. This will ultimately help you to be a beautiful dancer
and make you have your own perspective on every song you dance to)
3.00 - 4.00 - Body Movement & Pasty Style Turn Patterns
(Simple, beautiful turns patterns and moves, accompanied by learning to move your body to
the music, using it to make you look and feel smoother on the floor while highlighting musicality)

Pasty is also available for Private Tuition on Sunday and Monday. But be warned - Zouk lovers all over Adelaide have started booking Privates already, so you do need to BOOK FAST!
