Never done Salsa before? Or maybe you have danced in other styles before? Well, here's where you start, learning the basics and fundamentals of Salsa dancing! Come and learn with Adelaide's best Instructors as we take you through an 8 week, comprehensive and easy to understand Salsa syllabus, starting you on your way to becoming a great dancer! :: Beautiful Basics :: Flawless Fundamentals :: Terrific Technique :: Nationally recognised for our focus on "Beautiful Basics, Fabulous Fundamentals and Terrific Technique", let us introduce you to the wonderful world of Salsa with you first dose of basics steps, rhythm, timing, musicality, partner work, correct spinning techniques, floorcraft, leading and following fundamentals and even techniques on how to link moves together... all done in a professional yet fun and friendly manner, ultimately connecting you from your soul to your soles! We'll have you dancing Salsa quicker and better than you might think!!! Our Beginner Salsa students enjoy the benefits of the fact that Salsa Connection Dance Studio utilises two studios... "Tapas on Hindley" AND the Clarence Park Community Centre. "Tapas on Hindley" has a fun, social atmosphere about it, while the Clarence park Community Centre gives our students the "dance class" feel. Either way you go, both locations have a fantastic friendly atmosphere for both teaching and learning! Don't forget - if you're at our "Tapas on Hindley" location - stick around after your class for a social chat and perhaps a drink, as straight after the Beginners class finishes, we open the floor up for our popular Thursday night open house social dancing from 9.00pm till late, right in the same venue - so you don't need to go anywhere to practice your new moves and integrate them into your dancing, as well as socialising with other dancers not only from Salsa Conenction, but from around Adelaide as well. We believe that practicing these things is the key to retaining them in your "dancing brain"! So don't be shy, we're happy and willing to teach anyone, no matter your ability! Ok, so you have the basics (and have been practicing hard!)... you know what you're doing... you can get out there and have a boogie. AWESOME!! Now it's time to improve that knowledge and learn more about leading, following, spinning, hand holds, footwork... and learn some great new moves in the process!! This 8 week course is designed to build on your fundamentals and will start to give you more complex moves and footwork. ALSO: As well as doing the Salsa Beginners Level 2 Course, we encourage those people that have completed Level 1 to go stay and do Salsa Beginners Level 1 classes as casual classes, if they feel they want to work on particular aspects of their dancing. And the best part is, if you're currently doing our Salsa Beginners 2 Level class, you can do these casual Beginner 1 refreshers for only $5!! Awesome value for you to refresh your basics!
Straight after the completion of these classes, we open the floor up for our popular Thursday night open house social dancing from 9.00pm till late, right in the same venue - so you don't need to go anywhere to practice your new moves and integrate them into your dancing, as well as socialising with other dancers not only from Salsa Conenction, but from around Adelaide as well. This is where you continue your Salsa journey with us, as we start to raise the bar a little and challenge you to improve yourself and get you ready for more Advanced levels. Please Note: Completion of Beginners Level 2, or at least some competent Salsa knowledge is required to do these classes. If you're unsure, please check with us to see if this is the class for you. And once the class has finished, we have open house social dancing from 9.00pm till late at "Tapas on Hindley" so you can practice your new moves and integrate them into your dancing, as well as socialising with other dancers not only from Salsa Conenction, but from around Adelaide as well. Been dancing for a while and want to learn some new moves and techniques? Or maybe you've forgotten a few things, because you haven't been out dancing for a while? This is the class for you! For this class we'll assume you can already dance Salsa at least at an Intermediate or above standard, but you now want to improve your techniques, styling, shine work and moves. Perhaps you just want to come along for a dance, and dust off the cobwebs? Even going back to your roots as we take each class we teach back through their basics at the start of each lesson, so you never forget the Fabulous Fundamentals and the Terrific Techniques that got you to where you are now! Our famous Salsa Advanced class has been heating up floors all over Adelaide…
And once the class has finished, we have open house social dancing from 9.00pm till late at "Tapas on Hindley" so you can practice your new moves and integrate them into your dancing, as well as socialising with other dancers not only from Salsa Conenction, but from around Adelaide as well. Awesome! Well, whether you are a Beginner or even a more Advanced dancer, private tuition is the best way to fast-track your learning and get benefits that only "one-on-one" attention can provide. Your Instructor will take you for an hour long focus session, challenging you but still allowing you to learn at your own pace. Use this time to work on things that YOU want to improve and achieve... after all, it is YOUR lesson. From simple things such as correcting bad habits, improving posture, timing and musicality, basics, fundmentals, to turn patterns and cool moves! You can learn more about the subtleties of leading and following techniques, learn how to spin, style... even do choregraphy lessons for performances or competitions! Your lesson, your choice... Private Lessons are also a great way to get yourself started in a new dance style:

Are you interested in taking your Salsa to a new level by performing in one of our teams, or perhaps by yourself even? Perhaps you want to really challenge yourself, taking that step further and get out there and compete? Then you need to talk to us. Salsa Connection has opportunities coming up for people to join Student “Social” Performance Teams as well as future opportunities in our SCDS Performance Team. We currently have a Intermediate Level Student On1 Salsa Team and a Ladies On2 Styling Team coming along quite nicely... we also have an On2 Salsa Team we'll be opening invitations to soon... so keep your eyes peeled! We can also work with you on choreography for individual performance pieces as well as Competition standard routines. We can help you with tips and tricks for getting the most out of your performance / competition, costume designs and contacting dressmakers, shoes, training and excercises, music editing and much more.
